Launched in 2020, the KCT Youth Ambassador programme is fostering the next generation of kaitiaki, environmental guardians. Students from our partner areas apply annually to become youth ambassadors, with up to five representatives chosen.
Our youth ambassadors will meet during the year and be involved in local kea conservation efforts. They will also work in with youth ambassadors from neighbouring conservation projects and the Department of Conservation.
KCT youth ambassadors will get opportunities to represent the Kea Conservation Trust in a range of experiences including advocacy, lead removal in buildings, filming and banding.
